Obi Ollawa represents a variety of clients within the entertainment business including artists, musicians, writers, producers, directors, and other talent. He specializes in handling transactional agreements and intellectual property law, specifically, Trademarks and Copyrights, and its enforcement. He also focuses on business formations and maintenance for clients.
Entertainment
For more than nine years, Obi Ollawa earned experience advising businesses, entrepreneurs, and other creatives on business strategy, contracts (for services and goods). In music, he negotiated and/or drafted festival bookings, endorsements, and publishing agreements, including BEATS: Sremm Life 2 Listening Party, MTV’s Wonderland, Observatory’s Day n Nite Fest, Agenda Trade Show, VFiles, Adidas Brand Events, SXSW, Complex Con, Boiler Room and more. In addition, he represented clients in Music Recording, Publishing, Distribution, & 360 Agreements. In TV/Film, he represented Literary Purchase, Actors Talent, Director, Producer, Joint Venture, Production Development Agreements.
Intellectual Property
Obi Ollawa has experience in copyright, trademarks, licensing, other IP acquisition agreements and enforcement notices for over 5 years. He is responsible for the research of the literary copyright infringement cases and drafting of the article “Death of Copyright, Part III”, a legal article authored by Mr. Steven Lowe. Recently, he represented and protected intellectual property for clients in the Web3 industry.

He also has extensive experience in business formation for limited liability companies, corporations, s-corporations, and not-for-profit companies/businesses.
